Red Sox v. Cardinals (October 26, 2013)

Game 3 - World Series (Series tied 1-1)

Boston Red Sox at St. Louis Cardinals

SP - Jake Peavy (12-5, 4.17) v. Joe Kelly (10-5, 2.69)

1. Ellsbury, CF
2. Victorino, RF
3. Pedroia, 2B
4. Ortiz, 1B
5. Nava, LF
6. Bogaerts, 3B
7. Saltalamacchia, C
8. Drew, SS
9. Peavy, P

Notes:

Peavy, acquired at the trade deadline to give the Red Sox another veteran starter, takes the ball tonight knowing that not only does his team need a win to retake the lead in the World Series but that with Clay Buchholz status uncertain for tomorrow's Game 4 (he will start but no one knows what to expect from him) that he must go deep into the game to keep the bullpen ready for Sunday.

While Peavy's last start, Game 4 of the ALCS, was not good I have faith that he will rise to the moment tonight and pitch the Red Sox to a Game 3 victory.
