Red Sox v. A's (May 2, 2012)

Boston Red Sox (11-12) v. Oakland A's (12-13)

SP - Daniel Bard (2-2, 3.72) v. Brandon McCarthy (1-3, 3.23)

1. Mike Aviles, SS
2. Ryan Sweeney, RF
3. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
4. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
5. David Ortiz, DH
6. Cody Ross, LF
7. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C
8. Willie Middlebrooks, 3B
9. Marlon Byrd, CF

Three Strikes:

1. The Willie Middlebrooks era starts tonight because of Kevin Youkilis' back injury. Am I crazy for thinking that Middlebrooks can do for the 2012 Red Sox what Evan Longoria did for the 2008 Rays?

2. Aaron Cook, who could have chosen to become a free agent if he wasn't called up to the Red Sox, will replace Josh Beckett in the rotation on Saturday against the Orioles. Beckett, who threw over 120 pitches in his last start, will supposedly miss just one start.

3. The Red Sox signed Mark Prior to a minor league contract. This is a good low risk/high reward move for the Sox. Prior was once a rising star who has been slowed by injuries who could help the Sox out down the stretch.

Hey!

My name is Tyler and I am the owner of GameDayBoston.com one of the newest Boston sports websites on the net! Here at GameDay Boston we give the everday fan a one-stop shop to get everything they need for the big game. Tickets, apparel, local hotspots, sports betting, and even more! You may know me from my other sites Celtics247.com and RedSoxAholics.com I own those as well, but GameDay has recently become my top priority and will be for the foreseeable future.

The reason I am emailing you today is to exchange links and also, of course, introduce myself. I know we are new, but exchanging links with us will be extremely beneficial. I can guarantee it! GameDay is owned by a successful marketing company in Portland, Maine so we already have strategies in place to make this thing grow and fast! We already have almost 20,000 social media followers, most of which you can see here @GameDayBoston We are currently working around the clock to improve our SEO, optimize the site, improve our traffic, and of course network with other blogs.

I am a born and raised New England, and much like you I'm sure, have a passion for Boston sports. I graduated with my marketing degree this past summer and figured what the heck... why not combine my passion for sports with my degree? Since than I have teamed up with VR Marketing Consultants, the marketing firm I mentioned, and GameDay is our next major project that we expect to grow and expand rapidly. So anyway I would love to exchange links with you and put your link on our site. Most of all I would love to keep in touch and continue to network in anyway possible. So send me your URL you'd want up on our site and feel free to send me your twitter handle too so I can follow you and be sure to retweet/engage with you and your fans whenever possible. As you can tell I am a big fan of social media lol!

Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you! Go Boston!
