SP - TIm Wakefield (6-6, 4.95) vs. Brandon Morrow (9-10, 4.78)

1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
4. David Ortiz, DH
5. Kevin Youkilis, 3B
6. Carl Crawford, LF
7. Marco Scutaro, SS
8. Josh Reddick, RF
9. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C

Three Strikes:

1. The news about Josh Beckett's ankle sounds good and until the Red Sox or Beckett say otherwise, I will believe he will be ready to go for October.

Beckett will probably miss at least one start but his sprained ankle does not sound like a serious injury and at this point of the season, a healthy Beckett in October should translate into a Red Sox team capable of winning the World Series.

2. The Red Sox also got good news on Clay Buchholz.  The righty has been out since June with a stress fracture in his back but has been increasing his throwing lately in an attempt to return for the playoffs.

If the Red Sox get Buchholz back for October - even in a relief role while he rebuilds arm strength - it would be a major bonus considering it looked like they were going to lose him for the season.

3. Yes, Tim Wakefield will get #200 tonight.
