This Trade Works!

You know Danny Ainge is on the phone right now, trying to make a trade happen that improves the Celtics chances to win a title this year. Well, here is one that works financially and for the teams involved. Boston gets younger and deeper. Charlotte acquires the big man (Rasheed Wallace) they need. Washington clears salary (Antawn Jamison andMike Miller) and acquires an expiring contract (Ray Allen). Here is the breakdown for the Celtics if Ainge can pull the trigger: 1: Rajon Rondo, D.J. Augustin 2: Mike Miller, Eddie House 3: Paul Pierce, Marquis Daniels 4: Kevin Garnett, Antawn Jamison, Glen Davis 5: Kendrick Perkins, DeSagana Diop Garnett would really serve as the backup center but Diop does provide another big man. Augustin gives Rondo an actual backup for the first time in his career. Miller makes up for the loss of Ray's shooting and Jamison is a better scorer and rebounder than what Rasheed Wallace was giving since signing as a free agent last summer.
