Football Picks
The NFL regular season is tomorrow and with 10 of the 12 playoff spots already wrapped up, fans in many stadiums will be watching what will amount to preseason football.
There is talk that the NFL Competition Committee will look into the practice of teams who have clinched a playoff spot sitting their starters at the end of the season but I do not see how the league can mandate who plays and who sits.
If I were a Patriots fan living in Texas, I would love to be able to watch Tom Brady play tomorrow but if Bill Belichick believes that by sitting his quarterback - or any of his players - gives him a better chance of winning a Super Bowl, than that is his choice to make.
All picks against the spread (the "Bible") and home team in capitals...
