I am torn this week.
On one hand, the 2-1 Bengals have looked good through three weeks - especially in their 24-10 win in Pittsburgh this past Sunday - and the 0-3 Jaguars have looked horrible.
On the other hand, the law of averages has to favor the Jaguars at some point. They’ve lost 18 straight games and are closing in on becoming the third team in NFL history (along with the World War II era Chicago Cardinals and mid-1970’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers) to lose at least 20 in a row.
For now, I won’t get in my own way. I expect to see improvement from Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars but for the Bengals to win and (more importantly) cover.
BENGALS (-7) over Jaguars
Thursday Record: 3-0
Season: 22-9-2
