Rick Pitino Fired At Louisville

Sorry Louisville fans, but Denny Crum's not walking through that door.

Pitino is out as a result of a bribery scandal that was made public yesterday and could alter the immediate and long term future of college basketball.

A member of the Basketball Hall of Fame who has coached the Knicks and Celtics in the NBA and has led Providence, Kentucky, and Louisville to appearances in the Final Four, Pitino's career will forever be tarnished by the scandals at Louisville.

In 2010, he admitted to an extra-marital affair with a woman who was blackmailing him.  In 2015, the school fired an assistant basketball coach who was at the center of a prostitution scandal that threatens to have the team's 2013 national championship vacated.
