1. Ellsbury, CF

Notes:

It's amazing that after two rough seasons on the mound in 2010 and 2011 and then a lost 2012 season to Tommy John surgery that John Lackey will take the ball tonight for the Red Sox in the potential clinching game of the World Series.

Excitement is high in Boston, as it should be, but let's not put the cart before the horse.  The Cardinals are not going down without a fight and beating the young and talented Wacha will be no easy task.  Other than Game 1, this has been a tightly contested series and while I wouldn't object to an easy Red Sox win, I expect Game 6 to be a tightly contested battle.

Prediction?

Red Sox win, 6-2, with Lackey going 7-innings, Junichi Tazawa and Koji Uehara closing the door, and David Ortiz having another big night at the plate on the way to winning the MVP.
