Boston Red Sox (5-2) v. Baltimore Orioles (3-4)
SP - Ryan Dempster (0-1, 5.40) v. Jake Arrieta (0-0, 9.00)
1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
2. Shane Victorino, RF
3. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
4. Mike Napoli, 1B
5. Will Middlebrooks, 3B
6. Daniel Nava, DH
7. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C
8. Stephen Drew, SS
9. Jackie Bradley Jr., LF
Red Sox notes:
1. The Red Sox have activated shortstop Stephen Drew from the disabled list and optioned Jose Iglesias to Pawtucket to make room for Drew on the field. I'm a big fan of Iglesias because of his defensive ability he has but I'm willing to trust that Drew is completely healthy and can help the Red Sox while Iglesias continues to develop as a hitter in Triple-A.
2. The Red Sox also placed John Lackey on the disabled list with a right biceps strain (suffered in his first start on Saturday against the Blue Jays) and replaced him on the roster by calling up Alex Wilson from Pawtucket. Wilson will pitch out of the bullpen and Alfredo Aceves will take Lackey's place in the rotation. Aceves will start tomorrow night, as Felix Doubront is being pushed back a day to start against the Rays at Fenway on Friday night.
