Apology for Picks and Thursday Picks

Yes, it's been a struggle to say the least.  Here is my current production on picking winners against the spread:

NCAA: 12 - 17 - 1 (3 - 1 - 1 last week)
NFL: 41 - 47 - 2 (4 - 9 last week)

I know that I was hoping for more this season and I'm sure you were as well.  I apologize for the less than mediocre start and hope that this week will be the start of something big.  Stay with me, don't quit now, things are bound to turn around starting now.

As for my Thursday NFL pick this week:

Seattle (+7.5) over SAN FRANCISCO

The Seahawks sold me on their potential last week.  I know they play better at home than on the road but their defense did a number on the Patriots and although I like the 49ers to win, I see it as a 21-17 affair.

I'm also using one of my five college picks on the Thursday game:

Oregon (-10) over ARIZONA STATE

The Ducks are off to another hot start but in the first BCS standings they found themselves in third place, behind Alabama and Florida.  Expect Chip Kelly's team to be fired up and ready to prove a point against the Sun Devils.
