Red Sox v. Yankees (April 21, 2012)

Boston Red Sox v. New York Yankees

SP - Felix Doubront (0-0, 5.40) v. Freddy Garcia (0-1, 6.97)

1. Mike Aviles, SS
2. Ryan Sweeney, RF
3. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
4. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
5. David Ortiz, DH
6. Kevin Youkilis, 3B
7. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C
8. Cody Ross, CF
9. Darnell McDonald, LF

Three Strikes:

1. This is the inaugural TBI post from the new iPhone. It's definitely going to take time to get used to doing things this way.

2. Leave Bobby Valentine alone. He may not be perfect but it's not his fault that his pitching has been poor and that his offense isn't producing. By the way, if the players wanted things to stay the way they were under Terry Francona - and this means you Kevin Youkilis and Dustin Pedroia - then they should have made the playoffs last year instead of staging a historic collapse. Privileges are earned, not handed out.

3. I have a bad feeling that yesterday's amazing pre-game ceremony to commemorate Fenway Park's 100th birthday will be the high point of a 77-85 season.
