Football Picks

After a very good week with my NFL picks and another winning week in the college ranks, TheBostonInsider is ready to make the picks.

As always, all picks against the spread and home team in capitals.

NCAA

Notre Dame (-7) over PITTSBURGH
Thank you Urban Meyer, thank you.

Oklahoma State (+4) over TEXAS A&M
A parting gift from the ten team Big-12.  Have fun in the SEC.

Louisiana State (-6.5) over WEST VIRGINIA
LSU will gladly vote for the Mountaineers to join the SEC after this one.

Oregon (-16) over ARIZONA
Just noticing I'm taking all road teams.

OKLAHOMA (-20) over Missouri
I guess I'll take the #1 team in the country at home.

BONUS PICK: UMass over Boston College (NL)
Minutemen join the Big East by 2014.

Last Week: 3 - 2
Season: 11 - 4

NFL

CINCINNATI (-3) over San Francisco
Andy Dalton.  Alex Smith.  It's the NFL on FOX!

Patriots (-7.5) over BUFFALO
Bills offense going against a banged up New England defense makes me worry about laying the 7.5 but how can you go against Brady?

NEW ORLEANS (-4) over Houston
Texans are good but their defense can't stop Drew Brees & Co.

PHILADELPHIA (-9) over NY Giants
I don't love the Eagles but I do hate the Giants.

Miami (+3) over CLEVELAND
24-23, Browns.

TENNESSEE (-7) over Denver
Chris Johnson will crack 200 yards.

Detroit (-4) over MINNESOTA
Vikings fans can only hope Big Daddy Suh cracks Donovan McNabb's leg.

CAROLINA (-3.5) over Jacksonville
Cam Newton probably due for a stinker but Jags defense will let him run wild.

SAN DIEGO (-15) over Kansas City
Who will be the head coach in KC at the end of the year?

OAKLAND (+3.5) over NY Jets
No Nick Mangold this week means Mark Sanchez will be facing pressure and he cannot handle pressure.

Baltimore (-4) over ST. LOUIS
Ravens will bounce back from Titans loss against a Rams team that plays hard but is fighting through too many injuries.

Atlanta (+1) over TAMPA BAY
I had season tickets at BC during the Matt Ryan years so I'll go with the ex-Eagle.

Arizona (-3.5) over SEATTLE
Pete Carroll will start making references to Andrew Luck as his starting quarterback by Week 6.

Green Bay (-4) over CHICAGO
Bears defense can't stop the pass and their offensive line can't block for Jay Cutler.  Horrible combination against the Packers.

INDIANAPOLIS (+11) over Pittsburgh
Colts keep it close but fall to 0-3.

WASHINGTON (+4) over Dallas
Redskins will run the ball down the Cowboys throats.

Last Week: 10 - 4 - 2
Season: 17 - 12 - 3
