Three Strikes:
1. It's amazing to think that despite all of their talent, a win tonight would get the Red Sox to .500 for the first time since Opening Day.
It's been stated here several times but when this team wins the World Series and NESN is televising the Duck Boat parade, it will be funny to laugh at this horrible start that is just now coming to an end.
2. Is it just me or does a Red Sox game at Fenway not feel the same without the legendary "Peeeeeeeeeeee-nuts" call coming from vendor Rob "Nuts" Barry now that his bad shoulder has forced him to hawking cold beer in the box seats?
3. Adrian Gonzalez has single handedly rescued the Red Sox from their troubles with runners in scoring position. During his recent 10-game hitting streak, Gonzo is 8-for-15 with runners in scoring position (hat tip, Peter Abraham).
