KG's Return Leads Celtics

What's the old saying? When a door closes a window opens? I think I know what that means now. A day after the Patriots season ended in misery, the Celtics defeated the Magic - one of their chief rivals in the East - in the return of Kevin Garnett, who had missed nine games with a calf strain. Garnett's steal in the final 30 seconds sealed an emotional win. The championship hopes of New England sports fan now shift off of the turf field of Gillette Stadium to the parquet floor of the Garden. The Celtics are loaded for a run at the Larry O'Brien trophy with a healthy Garnett flanking Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Shaquille O'Neal, and Glen Davis. When Kendrick Perkins and Delonte West return from their injuries, there is no better team in the NBA than the Celtics. Garnett is the key to everything. His leadership on the defensive end of the floor can't be quantified in numbers but it is obvious that his presence on the floor makes the Celtics a tougher and more invested defensive unit. With KG running the defense and Rondo distributing the ball all over the place on the offensive end, Doc Rivers' club has the balance to hang Banner #18 in the Garden Rafters.
