Patriots-Ravens

It was just 13 days ago that the Patriots executed an impressive 41-14 win on Monday Night Football against the Dolphins to move to 3-1.

Since that night the Patriots have traded Randy Moss to the Vikings, traded for Deion Branch from the Seahawks, and begged Brett Favre to stop "sexting" pictures of 'Lil #4 to sideline reporters. Okay, that last point did not happen butit has been a hectic bye week in Foxboro.

The Patriots take the field today against the 4-1 Ravens at Gillette Stadium. With all the media coverage of the team over the last 13 days, I think that I speak for Pats fans all over New England in stating that I cannot wait for this game to start. It's time to stop talking about the Patriots' chances in the AFC the rest of the year and actually get a glimpse of the team in action against the team that many consider to be the class of the conference after five weeks.

I think that proud players such as Tom Brady and Wes Welker will want to prove to the NFL that their offense will be successful even without Moss. Get ready for a return to the old ball control offense that was good enough to earn Super Bowl victories for the Patriots in 2001, 2003, and 2004. I don't know if this defense is good enough to win a Lombardi Trophy but the team is good enough to win today.

I like the Patriots today, 27-17.
