Jersey Shore plows ahead tonight with its fourth episode of the second season. GTL everyone, GTL...
The Red Sox are finding a way to stay relevant in the American League playoff picture. Even as the Yankees and Rays chug along the Sox are still within striking distance, just waiting for one (or both) of the teams to stumble.
Dustin Pedroia's return to the team makes the offense stronger and the 1-2 combination of Jon Lester and Clay Buchholz gives them two of the best starting pitcher's in the game going for them.
It is going to be hard to catch the Yankees or Rays - a sweep of one of them is probably going to be necessary to pull of a trip to the playoffs - but don't count them out just yet...
The Patriots will play their second preseason game tonight in Atlanta against the Falcons.
Although you can't put too much stock in a glorified exhibition game, the Pats have serious questions to answer about their offensive line (it's time to pay Logan Mankins), the running game (who is going to emerge as the primary back?), and the lack of a pass rush (can Tully Banta-Cain reach double digit sacks again?).
With Tom Brady and Bill Belichick on the side of the Patriots they have to be considered a Super Bowl contender but until they solve those three problem areas, they are not the favorites...
Enjoy Tom Petty on Saturday...
