Knicks Counting Seconds to Midnight

For what seems like 38 years, the Knicks have been preparing for July 1, 2010 so that they can finally make their love for LeBron James known to one and all.

If Ian Thomsen of Sports Illustrated is right - and he usually is - the Knicks are going to attempt to get the "King" to relocate his kingdom to Manhattan and bring Joe Johnson and one of the elite power forwards on the market - either Chris Bosh or Amar'e Stoudemire - along for the ride.

Rumors have been running wild about the possible scenarios for months but it is no secret that the Knicks gameplan for the last two years was to sell their soul in the pursuit of LeBron James.

A trio of LeBron, Johnson, and Bosh/Stoudemire would be enough to bring New York its first NBA championship since 1972 and that may be the final thing that tips the scale for LeBron to bring his game to the Big Apple.
