Celtics in 5

If you have a few bucks stuffed under your mattress that you would like to turn into a vacation home in Hawaii or a new Porsche, then find the local bookie and put that cash on the Celtics.

The Celtics are a +150 underdog against the Lakers. This is despite the fact that the Celtics have played better basketball against better teams in the playoffs. Boston made quick work of three of the best players in the world in beating the Heat (Dwayne Wade), Cavaliers (LeBron James), and Magic (Dwight Howard). While the Celtics were running through the East, the Lakers faced the Thunder, Jazz, and Suns - good teams but not the same caliber of teams that Boston faced.

Oddsmakers are also missing the fact that the current starting five for Boston - Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, and Kendrick Perkins - have not lost a playoff series together.

Tonight opens Chapter 18 in the "Celtics Dynasty" novel and for the 12th time the Lakers will be the enemy. I expect the Celtics to take the first two games in Los Angeles, Game 3 in Boston, and then close it out in Game 5 in Boston.
