I buy my Boston Herald every morning at the conveniance store on the corner of my street. Each and every day, Monday through Sunday, I drop down my $.75 ($2.00 on Sunday) to get a copy of Beantown's best tabloid. For the past three weeks, the Herald delivery truck has been running late. It is not acceptable. I get there between 7:05 and 7:25 and I should be able to have the Herald in hand when I walk out. I rely on the daily assurance my newspaper gives me. It is a part of my ritual and when that ritual is thrown off, even over something so seemingly insignificant as having to grabe the Boston Globe, I became upset. This anger will not manifest itself in a permanent boycott of the Herald or in a verbal lashing of the driver the next time see him. No, instead I will probably pour myself a few extra drinks tonight and get in an argument with my girlfriend over some trivial issue that normally wouldn't lead to a discussion. Now, if you're still reading, remember that you are putting the future of your finances into the hands of a person who is admitting he will get loaded and start a fight with his girlfriend strictly because he is using the point spreads from the Globe instead of the Herald.
